Ginger Shimp

Senior Marketing Director, SAP

Since 2004, I’ve helped companies in myriad industries run better by telling not only the SAP story, but also the stories of our customers and our customers’ customers. Developing content, engaging channels, deploying tactics in order to educate, stimulate interest, and drive demand: Marketing isn’t just what I do, it’s who I am! Did you know? SAP customers represent 98% of the top 100 most valued brands in the world, producing more than 79% of the world’s chocolate, 77% of the world’s beer, and 85% of the world’s pet food. That’s an awesome responsibility, a humbling privilege, and one heck of an exciting journey.

My college years were spent across from Golden Gate Park, on the beach, where I majored in journalism and graduated from the University of San Francisco magna cum laude. Then it was off to America’s heartland and the nation’s #1 business school where I earned my MBA in marketing and managerial economics from the Kellogg School of Management. Now I make my home on top of Mt. Nittany in Happy Valley, aka State College, Pennsylvania.
