Janét is the Chairwoman & CEO of Ahava Group Global—a women-led modern media parent company.
In 2019, Janét was honored by Conscious Company Media as one of the Top 22 Conscious Business Leaders; followed by the Young President’s Organization (YPO) selecting Ahava Group Global to partake in Ofactor’s Organizational Trust Survey to help define how Ahava Digital Group--a women-led digital consultancy has built a strong culture around trust. Janét is a member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (iab) in the U.S. where she sits on committees for Data Benchmarks & Activation, Data Center of Excellence, Multicultural, Identity & Audience Data, Social Media and COPPA. She is a leader within the Google’s Women Techmakers, the UN Women Initiative for the National Council of Women in Canada and the 30% Club Canada —an organization that includes Chairs and CEOs to achieve better gender balance at board level and senior management levels working closely with Catalyst and Catalyst Accord initiatives.
Throughout her career, Janét has received many awards and nominations such as being recognized as one of the Top 10 Inspiring Women in Canada, 2019 RBC Woman of Distinction Awards, 2013 - 2014 YMCA-YWCA Woman of Distinction Business and Entrepreneur Awards, one of 2015 Top 100 Black Women To Watch in Canada, 2016 Top 40 under 40 for the city of Guelph and 2019 North American EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women.
In 2019, Janét along with her team launched Ahava Holdings & Ventures —a holding company and early-stage venture firm that focuses on building great technology and media companies while preserving history through real estate.
